Meet the Team

The team at C4E is comprised of those who have worked within education, have experience working with young people and have a heart to see schools and colleges supported by their local churches.

Chair of Trustees

Sue Pierce

Sue is married to Phil. Sue was a high school maths teacher. She says maths is fun! The final twenty years were in Prestatyn High School where she  became a member of the senior leadership team. Sue is now supposedly retired, but is kept busy with her local church, volunteer work in schools and spending time with her five wonderful grandchildren and family.

Treasurer 

Toni Coulton

Toni is married to Eric and has two children and six grandchildren. Toni is now retired but before retirement she worked for Festive and UCCF in their FE and Sixth form ministry. She has a passion to see young people thrive, develop and have the opportunity to explore faith.

Trustee responsible for High Schools

Phil Pierce

Phil retired having spent the last ten years as headteacher at Prestatyn High. He still enjoys visiting schools regularly as a TLG coordinator and by taking assemblies from time to time.

He and Sue are active members of their local church and community. 

Phil supports Liverpool FC, enjoys Welsh sport, walking in the North Wales countryside and is enjoying the challenge of learning Welsh.

Trustee responsible for Primary Schools

Gary Hulson

Gary has many years of experience in the educational field having worked as a teacher and a head teacher in primary schools. Since retiring, Gary has cotinued to support those in education as TLG EI coach and supporting learners who need additional support.

Trustee

Peter Dutton

Peter was the Practice Manager at Kinmel Bay Medical Centre before retirement in 2016. Peter is a member of Princes Drive Baptist Church in Colwyn Bay. He likes playing walking football and supports MUFC, England and Wales.

Pete is currently on sabbatical as a trustee.

C4E Co ordinator

Helen Hazlewood

Helen's role is to engage with churches to encourage them to support their local schools. The first step in support is through prayer, then also by linking them with other Christian charities who can assist them in any way needed. She would love to see every school, child and teacher supported by a local church. Helen is married with 3 children and enjoys swimming, running and long walks on the beach or in the mountains.
